CEO Dan Bueschel details first-half results, workforce investments and emerging opportunities in new 2026 Mid-Year Update video
PHOENIX, AZ, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Modigent, a national leader of infrastructure, technology, and energy solutions, reported double-digit growth through the first half of 2026 as the company expanded its Texas operations, invested in people and technology, and moved into new markets tied to growing demand for energy and critical infrastructure.
CEO Daniel Bueschel discusses the results and what’s ahead in Modigent’s new 2026 Mid-Year Update video, hosted by award-winning journalist Carey Peña. Watch the video here.
Sales increased 12% through the first half of the year compared with the same period in 2025, while revenue and earnings each increased 13%. Bueschel said the strong sales performance has also built a healthy backlog heading into 2027.
“We’re building for where the market is headed,” Bueschel said. “We’re thinking about where demand is going—from energy solutions and power production to data centers and AI—and building the capabilities to serve those markets while continuing to create opportunities for our people.”
Texas remains a major part of that growth strategy. Recent acquisitions have given Modigent operations across the state’s major metropolitan markets while adding new capabilities and customer sectors. Its Houston operation has expanded the company’s reach into oil and gas and refinery work, and they recently secured a major data center project in West Texas. In Waco, Modigent added fabrication capabilities and is integrating the business with its Austin operation to serve the growing corridor between the two markets.
Investment in people and technology also accelerated. Modigent launched a management academy with approximately 100 participants, and expanded current employee participation in its third apprenticeship cohort. The company also began piloting an AI-enabled tool to help service technicians troubleshoot equipment and access technical information more efficiently. Bueschel said apprentices are about 60% less likely to leave the company during their first two years, while early results from the AI pilot are encouraging as Modigent evaluates a broader rollout.
Modigent is also focused on expanding its energy strategy. Following its 2025 acquisition of Rich Energy, the company has built the infrastructure for Modigent Energy Solutions, led by David Rich. Rich Energy will continue operating independently while serving as the backbone of Modigent’s broader effort to bring energy reduction, management, and optimization capabilities to customers nationwide.
Bueschel said the strategy reflects a broader shift in customer demand as businesses contend with rising power needs, constrained capacity, and pressure to manage energy and water more efficiently.
“The opportunity is to help our customers be successful while using energy as efficiently as possible,” Bueschel said. “We see a responsibility to support the growth happening in these markets while respecting the communities where our people and our customers live and work.”
Looking to the second half of 2026, Modigent plans to continue pursuing strategic acquisitions, developing its workforce, and expanding in markets including energy, power generation, data centers, and other complex infrastructure environments.
“The most exciting part is where we’re headed,” Bueschel said. “We’re looking forward, entering markets where we see long-term opportunity, and building a company that can continue to grow while creating opportunities for our people. And for us, it will always be people first.”
