Spain-based curator and art advisor to lead art placement and build AXYNAO’s network of artists, gallery partners, museums and collectors

Art placement is an architectural decision, and the curator is the judgment that holds that architecture together. We are not adding a task-holder; we are adding a builder.”

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — AXYNAO, the Fort Lauderdale-based architectural placement platform for contemporary art founded by Erik Kling, today announced the appointment of Ainhoa Fernández Moreira as Lead Curator, effective September 15, 2026.

Fernández Moreira joins AXYNAO from Spain, where she is Founder and Director of AF Art Advisory, a contemporary art consultancy developing strategic, representation, positioning, and communication projects for artists, galleries, institutions, and collectors. Her career spans Spain, the United Kingdom, and Portugal, encompassing gallery management, curating, cultural management, communication, and art advisory.

At AXYNAO, Fernández Moreira will lead art placement — bringing curatorial judgment to the selection and integration of contemporary art into architectural, hospitality, corporate, and institutional environments — and will build and operate the platform’s network of artists, gallery partners, museums, institutions, and collectors. She will lead the discovery, selection, and onboarding of AXYNAO’s core roster of placement-ready artists, develop the circle of partner galleries that extends the platform’s sourcing and delivery capacity, and cultivate the museum, institutional, and collector relationships through which AXYNAO’s artists gain recognition and placement. She will also contribute to AXYNAO’s 2027 European art fair programme and its “Architectures of Creation” podcast series.

“AXYNAO begins from a simple belief: an artwork does not enter the world alone. It enters systems of recognition, exhibition, architecture, and commerce — and those systems decide not only whether a work is seen, but where it is allowed to matter,” said Erik Kling, Founder of AXYNAO. “Art placement is an architectural decision, and the curator is the judgment that holds that architecture together. Ainhoa brings exactly that judgment, together with a working knowledge of how contemporary art circulates and gains recognition across the European gallery, fair, and institutional circuit. We are not adding a task-holder; we are adding a builder.”

“I am genuinely excited to begin this new chapter with AXYNAO,” said Ainhoa Fernández Moreira. “My practice has always operated at the intersection of curating, art advisory, and the strategic development of artists’ careers. AXYNAO’s model — placing contemporary art into the architectural and institutional environments where it can acquire lasting relevance, through sustained relationships with galleries, museums, and collectors — is precisely the kind of platform where that work can create lasting value for the artists we represent.”

Fernández Moreira holds a degree in Fine Arts and postgraduate training in cultural management and the art market. She has collaborated with institutions and spaces including the Ateneo de Madrid, Gärna Gallery, Río & Meñaka, Shug Gallery UK, and the Stanley Picker Gallery in London, with responsibilities spanning sales management, collector advisory, project coordination, exhibition production, and cultural communication. In the international art fair sector she has coordinated VIP programmes, including at CAN Art Fair in 2025 and subsequently at ESTAMPA. Since 2021 she has been Founder and Director of Art Bites Podcast, an interview program dedicated to contemporary art hosted by the magazine Arte a un Click.
