Camp Social Introduces Bunk One, an Intimate Ranch Retreat for Women in San Diego

Camp Social, the women’s adult summer camp known for blending childhood nostalgia with grown-up comfort, has announced Bunk One, a new smaller-scale retreat experience launching in San Diego in 2027. The retreat marks the company’s expansion into a more intimate format, set on a private 240-acre ranch in the hills of San Diego, with weekends planned for February and April 2027.

Each Bunk One weekend will be capped at 100 women, a deliberate contrast to Camp Social’s larger main camp gatherings. The reduced scale is intended to foster closer connection among attendees while preserving the activities and communal spirit that define the company’s programming. The West Coast ranch setting brings the camp concept to a new region and a new environment defined by rolling hills rather than the lakeside cabins of Camp Social’s Pennsylvania home.

Bunk One weekends will center on communal meals, wellness sessions and outdoor activities, with all planning and logistics handled by the Camp Social team. Programming includes yoga, hiking, sound baths, stargazing and a range of workshops, structured to give attendees the opportunity to disconnect from daily routines and immerse themselves in the retreat setting. As with Camp Social’s established offerings, meals, accommodations and activities are included in the experience.

The February and April dates each carry a distinct theme. The February weekend, titled The Love Letter: Galentine’s Weekend, is timed around the season of friendship celebration, while the spring weekend, The Fresh Start, is framed around renewal and reflection. Both retreats draw on the same slate of wellness and outdoor programming while offering their own tone and focus.

“Bunk One grew out of a desire to create something smaller and more personal,” said Liv Schreiber, founder of Camp Social. “Capping each weekend at 100 women allows the group to feel like a real community by the end of the stay. The ranch in San Diego gave us the setting to build that kind of experience on the West Coast.”

The launch of Bunk One arrives as Camp Social prepares for its wider 2027 season. Tickets for the main Camp Social camp weekends, held in June, August and September 2027, go on sale September 27, 2026. An on-sale date for Bunk One has not yet been announced.

Schreiber noted that the ranch format reflects the company’s interest in offering attendees more than one way to experience camp. “Some people want the full energy of a large camp weekend, and others are looking for something quieter and more intimate,” she said. “Bunk One is built for the second group, and it lets us reach women on the West Coast who have followed Camp Social from a distance.”
